Japan B. League featuring four Filipino imports delayed due to COVID 19

Three games have already been postponed by Japan B. League from the supposedly set playdates in January 8-10 where Filipino imports including Thirdy Ravena, Kobe Paras, Ray Parks, and Javi Gomez Liano were featured after reports of confirmed cases of COVID 19 from other teams were given. Ryoma Hashimoto of the Hokkaido Levanga tested positive for COVID 19, ruling 10 close contacts. This incident affected the back-to-back matchups of their team and the San-en Neophoenix that ought to be held on Sunday, January 9. Announcements about whether the games will continue or be completely canceled will be further provided by the league. Furthermore, Kobe Paras’s team’s (Niigata Albirex’s) matches against the Osaka Evessa for January 8 and 9 were also postponed after a total of nine players were infected by the virus. While the meeting of Nagoya Diamond Dolphins (Ray Park’s team) and the Ibaraki Robots (Gomez De Liano’s team) was also postponed since eight players from the robots were ruled as close contacts of a player in Alvark Tokyo. The All-Star Games was also canceled for the second year in a row because of the growing and spreading cases of COVID 19 within the players and people incharge of the operations.
